Who this covers

This policy covers sitebop.ai, the SiteBop application, the preview sites SiteBop builds, and the websites SiteBop hosts for plan customers. It explains what we collect, why, who else touches it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

We collect only what the service needs to work.

• — Request details: the website address you paste in and the email address you give us so we can send your result
• — Account details: your name, email address and password credentials when you create a SiteBop account
• — Plan and billing details: your plan, billing dates and the payment records our payment processor returns to us. Full card numbers never reach SiteBop
• — Site content you send us: text, photos, logos, files and messages you upload or write in change requests
• — Publicly available information about a website we are asked to look at, gathered from that website and public search sources
• — Usage and technical data: pages viewed, links clicked in our emails, approximate location from IP address, browser and device type, and error logs

Why we use it

To build, review and host the website you asked for; to run your account and plan; to answer you and send service email such as results, reviews, receipts and notices; to keep the service secure and diagnose faults; to understand which parts of our own site work; and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Who processes it for us

SiteBop runs on third-party services, and each one only receives what it needs to do its job. Those categories are: cloud hosting and content delivery; database and authentication; email delivery; payment processing; AI model providers used to draft and review website content; and error and analytics tooling.

These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

Website content and AI processing

To produce a concept site we read the public content of the website address you give us, and we send extracts of that content and your instructions to AI model providers to draft and review copy and design direction. Do not send us confidential information you would not want processed that way.

How long we keep it

Account, plan and billing records are kept while your account is open and then for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Requested-website records, concept previews and their supporting research are kept while they are useful and then removed. Live customer sites, their content and their backups are kept while the plan runs, and for a short wind-down window after it ends so nothing is lost by accident. Email delivery and error logs are kept for a limited operational period.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted to the people who need it, and administrative access is logged. No system is perfect: if a breach affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authorities where we are required to.

Your choices and rights

Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, hand your content over, or delete what we are not required to keep. Email info@sitebop.ai and a person answers. Depending on where you live you may also have rights to object to certain processing or to complain to your data protection authority.

Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. Service email about your plan, your site or your billing continues while your account is open.

Children and international transfers

SiteBop is a business service and is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. We operate from the United States, and our providers may process information in other countries; where we transfer personal information internationally we rely on the safeguards our providers offer for those transfers.
